Doing tragic times, it is hard to trust God if you are blaming Him. It is hard to put faith in His delivering power if you sense he is your enemy. Some Christians believe since God is ultimately in control, He allows bad things to happen to punish us. Exodus 9 and Psalm 9:15,16 Other Christians take the stance of God is in control and He is working all things out for my good. Romans 8:28 He is taking this bad situation and turning it around to something in which some day I can look back on and see His mighty hand at work. Genesis 37 42 and 50 While others may have the mindset of, I've sinned, and this is my punishment. I know God has cast my sins into the sin of forgetfulness. Micah 7:18,19 The enemy of my soul and he that is against all that is righteous Act 13:10 wants me to dwell on guilt, condemnation and shame not my loving heavenly father. John 3:17 I take confidence it knowing I am not alone, Psalm 9:10. God will not forsake me. Psalm 37:25 and Psalm 94:14 I look at a bad situation and pray to God to show me how to navigate the turbulent waters, to let the words of my mouth and meditations of my heart be acceptable in his sight. Psalm 19:14 and trust Him to perfect all that concerns me. Psalm 138:8
