Some individual listed surprised me that they had recorded their Christian testimonies and gospel albums;
Luke 12:37-40
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
I know that some Christians would not listen to any songs (gospel, AI, or not) published or copyrighted by any Rappers, Hip Hop Artists, Reggae, Country Western, Rock and Roll, or Various other Genre Entertainers that are still recording songs with lyrics using strong, explicit, cursing, sexual, or graphic language in their songs. I shared with someone that Eminem had gospel songs on You Tube, they seemed shocked. I asked is it wrong for anyone to acknowledge the goodness of God? Are all people who has accept Jesus as their person Savior, automatically freed from all past bondages, sins, addictions?
Is the testimony or message of God's power to save, heal and deliver unacceptable or different because someone has lived a life of sin?
We truly judge by the Spirit, since you have been saved, have you not sinned since, have you lived a life that a room of jurors would say, truly this is a righteous person?
If a donkey was trying to warn you against future danger, would you be like Balaam and beat it because the message came from a source that you did not deem acceptable?
If a rock could cry out a message from God, would you judge it too?
What current changes are these believers experiencing?
How is God's Words transforming the lives of these successful individuals?
Why at this time are they choosing to use their platform to give God glory?
What do they know about overcoming evil?
What have they experienced that can comfort, help others overcome, or bless our lives?
Some of these artist are still performing songs not for the ears of the innocent and I truly cannot judge their relationship with God.
As a Christian, I choose to listen to uplifting, positive, and encouraging music. Here are a few artists singing their truth, from genres other than hymnals, spiritual songs, gospel, Christian, traditional, and worship.
