The Oxford Dictionary defines never as at no time in the past or future; on no occasion; not ever.

When taking a test in school, students are taught that a red flag is raised when the word never is included in a multiple choice or true/false question. When scolding a child, the guardian, parent, or disciplinary may instruct him or her to never do something that is harmful, unsafe, or forbidden in their culture. Americans are often taught from a young age to avoid using the phrase," I will never" due to life's uncertainties and constantly changing circumstances.

Let's explore how the word Never is associated with God as a message to his children in the Holy Scriptures?

Abba Father God and Jesus Christ tell us in His Word:

Judges 2:1

And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.

John 4:14 KJV

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 10:28 KJV

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Hebrews 10:10-12 KJV

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Hebrews 13;5 KJV

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

2 Peter 1: 1-12 KJV

1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

God promises are yes and AMEN. Are you tempted to lose faith when life experiences differ from God's Words?

A Prayer:

Psalm 31:1 KJV In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Psalm 71:7 KJV In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

Psalm 119:93 KJV I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

In Jesus Name AMEN
