Why do you think people miss out on life eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven?

A parable in Matthew speaks about different seeds and the places they were sown. The Seeds that were firmly planted, and rooted in fertile soil increased 30, 60, and 100 percent. The Harvest refers to the end of age. The field is the world. Jesus is the Sower of the Seed. The Good seeds represent the Sons of the Kingdom. The Bad seeds or tares represent the Evil Ones. The Enemy is Satan. The Angels are the Reapers sent by the Son of Man.

Which of the following reasons do you agree or disagree with regarding why people miss out on life eternally with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and fellow believers in Heaven? What excuse or reason would you add to the list?

• Casting the Seed aside because it was not valued in the sight of the receiver.

• Dull of hearing, insensitivity to Holy Spirit, Not valuing the Word of God and feeling that there is no need for the Word of God, Prayer, or Jesus.

• Throwing the seeds on the ground for the birds to eat; Belief only weak people need Church or the Word of God.

• No spiritual depth in the intellectual life of the hearer,

• Sowing the seeds in stony, rocky areas; hardened hearts of men or no time spent cultivating the seed.

• Seed sown on unplowed land; hearts not receptive to the Word of God.

• Scorched Seed; new believer not planted in a firm foundation or watered by the Word of God who choosed to turn back to the world

• Seeds never developed a root and withered away; no connection, support of local church, no discipleship after Salvation; person left alone and enemy comes in and steals, kills and destroys.

• Enemy snatching away the seed, through deception, disbelief, doubt, and fear.

• Seed hidden or placed on a shelf and never allowed to produce, grow, or develop. Adverse to risk, lack of faith

• Seed take root in infected ground; Word of God incorrectly taught, false doctrine taught, and learning biblical principles in disfunction religious environments.

• Seed choked out by weeds; Allowing hard times, affliction, life experiences, trauma, grief, persecution, deception of riches, and worries of this world to distract attention away from studying and learning the Word of God.

• Enemy sow tares; plants thoughts that are contrary to the Word of God

• Placing leaven in the bread; distorting God's purpose and plan for others or fellowshipping with people who lead others into sinful lifestyles.

• Refusal to honor God; continuously sinning with no signs of repentance;

• Willingly bearing bad fruit, hating to produce good fruit

• Fearing man's actions above having a reverential fear of God

• Saying there is no God, Foolish and arrogant speech toward God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit

• Unforgiveness, offences, hatred, malice, bitterness, envy, strife, confusion, life experiences, no trust in God,

• idolatry, sexual immorality, abusive lifestyles, anger, murder, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and wrong beliefs.

• Refusal to do the will of Father God and refusal to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior
